about

I wrote this happy song for my Mom! We spent some very special months together after Grandma passed away in 2014. I accompanied her to Arizona as a snowbird for a few months, and she flew up to spend time with us in Alaska. We had a great time traveling together!
She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's shortly before the trip, and wanted to do things before she was unable to.
But, as of today, she is still doing Very well! ... Thank you Jesus!
We aren't done fighting this insidious disease yet..

Hey Mom
The smile on your face
Can light up the sun
Hey Hey Mom
God made you for us
Cause you were the one
Who wiped our tears and made us smile
when something did us wrong
You loved us through all our trials in life
It only made us strong
yes it did

Hey Hey Mom
Why did we have to grow up
When young was so fun?
Hey Hey Mom
Look at all your grandkids
My! Where's the time gone
If Dad were here you know he'd smile
And tell us, "Carry On!"
This is life and we're living it
Today will soon be gone
Yes, it will
Bridge
Years pass by and kids grow up
And we get older too
Blessings never cease to end
Because we all have you
We love you, Yes we do
Hey Hey Mom
I sure enjoyed our time in the desert fun
Hey Hey Mom
Thanks for joining me in the midnight sun
In all the time I spent with you
I'd only add one thing
We'll just make more picture memories
And tape them on that string
For old times
For all time
*Oh, Mom... I sure enjoyed our time together last year. You're a lot of fun to hang around with! And the memories...well they just kept coming in.
We both laughed and remembered when I was eight, how I got mad, slammed the door a little too hard..and ran outside with you fast on my heels.
We did circles around the rose bush. And we know what came after that.
Mom, you're one special lady, and just know that we love you.
