about

Bad news sells!. We see it everyday.
So, instead of letting the news get me all huffin' and a puffin', I turned the news off and wrote this song. After that, I left the cold to find the sun! Problem solved.

1. The tv man stared back
His face was etched with lines
as he told us every sad, bad story
The world is stranger now
I guess its always been
Where's the good news to start up my morning?
(Chorus)
It made the news today
The world has gone astray
While searching for their 4-leaf clover
I turned off all their blues
Being told as if it's news
Why can't they talk of something better
(refrain)
And so I'll take a holiday
I'd rather talk about the weather
I need to lighten up my days with you

2. The telly screen looked back
Of someone else's crime
Tragedy was all the news this morning
The world is colder now
Then it's was before
Where's the Good news I need happy mornings
Chorus
It made the news today
The world has gone astray
While searching for their 4-leaf clover
I turned off all their blues
Being told as if it's news
Why can't they talk of something better
(refrain)
And so I'll take a holiday
I'd rather talk of sunny weather
I need to brighten up my days with you....you
Solo
We're on the news today
We smiled and walked away
We are walking in our field of clover
I'd rather sing the blues
Than be told that it's the news
Why can't they talk of something better?
(refrain)
And yes, we'll be on holiday
*Oh.. we'd rather talk about our sunny weather
I need to brighten up my days with you.. with you... you....with you!
